Recipe Tips

  • If you don’t have a piping bag, you can use a zip top bag with the corner cut off. It’s not as pretty, but it will work in a pinch!
  • For extra flavor, try adding some smoked paprika to the topping.
  • If you want a little bit of spice, add some cayenne pepper to the mixture.

Variation Options

If you want to get creative with your deviled eggs, there are plenty of ways to change up the recipe. Here are a few ideas:

  • Add bacon – because everything is better with bacon!
  • Try using Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise for a healthier option.
  • Add some chopped dill or parsley to the mixture.
  • Stir in some shredded cheese for a cheesy twist.
  • For a Southwest flavor, mix in some diced avocado or green chiles.
  • Use wasabi paste instead of mustard for a spicy kick.
  • Add crab meat or shrimp for a seafood twist.

The possibilities are endless, so have fun and get creative!

Storing

Storing: These eggs are best served fresh, but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Freezing: If you want to freeze them, the egg whites will freeze just fine. However, the yolk mixture does not freeze well, so it’s best to make that part fresh when you’re ready to eat.
