Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Fresh Peaches – Be sure to use fresh, ripe peaches. You can use frozen too, just thaw them first!
  • Water – water is needed when making tea from scratch.
  • Sugar – helps sweeten the tea a bit. You can add more or less to your liking.
  • Green Tea Bags green tea is my favorite, but you can also use black tea as well if that’s what you prefer!

How To Make This Recipe

Step 1:

In a small sauce pan, bring the peaches, 3/4 cup of water and sugar to a boil. Then reduce to medium heat. Crush the peach slices with a masher and stir to dissolve the sugar while simmering. Turn off the heat, cover and let sit for 30 minutes.

Step 2:

Boil 6 cups of water, then steep the tea bags for 10 minutes. Refrigerate until chilled.

Step 3:

Strain the syrup through a mesh strainer. Discard any fruit pieces.

Step 4:

Add the syrup to the tea. Serve over ice and enjoy!

Recipe Tips & Variations

  • I use green tea, but feel free to use black tea, or your favorite tea!
  • Try mixing it up with a flavored tea bag! You could try raspberry, or another fruit flavor, to make raspberry peach tea!
  • Feel free to use frozen peaches (thawed), especially if it’s not peach season! White peaches are also delicious!
  • Try using a different type of fruit in place of peaches! Raspberry or strawberry iced teas are also delicious.
  • Garnish with mint for a fancier drink!

Storing: Store the iced peach tea in the refrigerator in an airtight container for about one week.
