- All-Purpose Flour - Baking Powder - Salt - Unsalted Butter - Brown Sugar - Eggs - Vanilla Extract - Whole Milk - Butterscotch Chips - Heavy Cream - Powdered Sugar

HOW TO MAKE Butterscotch Cake

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 °F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans. Step 2: In a medium sized bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.

Step 4: Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, and beating well after each addition. Stir in the butterscotch chips. Step 5: Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.

Step 6: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cakes comes out clean.
